South Loop Connection Roundup

"Meet Me at the Movies" Wrap Party at Weather Mark
After last night's screening of the classic My Man Godfrey, a dozen plus attendees had a special sit-down dinner at Weather Mark Tavern, 1503 S. Michigan Ave. The food was good and plentiful, and you can't beat hanging out with friends (some old, some new) and neighbors.

"Meet Me at the Movies" fans love the Weather Mark.
Love Classic Movies?
If you love classic movies, consider coming to next month's screening of Alfred Hitchcock's 1942 classic Shadow of a Doubt, starring Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotton.

New Florist in the South Loop
Marcel Florist & Garden has moved into 1471 S. Michigan Ave., just one door north of the Weather Mark Tavern. They are a full-service florist and can ship flowers anywhere, even internationally. They are still in the process of sprucing up their space, but they're ready to take your order.

I visited the shop this week, but they didn't want me to take any pictures just yet. They're planning to have everything the way they'd like it to be by Thanksgiving, I was told. The space between Marrcel's and the Weather Mark is currently set up as a fall display of pumpkins. Imagine what this space might look like next spring!
