Weather Mark Tavern to debut new craft beer
Weather Mark Tavern, 1503 S. Michigan Ave., will debut a new craft beer collaboratively brewed by Three Floyds Brewing and Half Acre Beer Company.

One-of-a-kind keg
Mutiny & The Mollusk, a one-of-a-kind oyster stout, will be tapped Wednesday April 11. 2012 at 7 p.m. Specialty brews from both local breweries will also be served, including Three Floyds Zombie Dust and Half Acre’s Daisy Cutter.

First brewed in New Zealand
Oysters were popular menu items at inns and public houses in the 18th century, often served with Guinness. The first oyster stouts were brewed in 1929 in New Zealand. In less than 10 years, oyster stouts were being produced in the United Kingdom, where they were very popular after the end of World War II.
