South Loop Parent Committee to hold two fundraisers


Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens
Are you aware that the South Loop has its very own Park District facility—Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens—at 1801 S. Indiana Ave.?  This facility offer numerous youth programs—including: pre-school, youth gymnastics, mom, pop and tots classes.


South Loop Parents Committee Supports Park 
South Loop Parent Committee is a parent-run volunteer organization created to support the Children’s Programs at Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens and serve as a liaison between interested parents in the community and the park. To help fulfill SLPC’s mission, we’re holding two fund-raising events.


Two Fundraising Events
A Swap-O-Rama (garage sale) will be held at Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens on June 30, 2012,
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Swap-o-Rama organizers say, “Youre bound to find some great deals and youll have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win great gift cards from a few of our favorite South Loop vendors.” All proceeds will go directly toward the purchase of a slide for the open play space in the field house. For additional information, email slparentcommittee@gmail.com.

Our goals include:
•Raise funds to provide the children’s programs with additional supplies, and other discretionary needs.
•Spread community awareness of the park by marketing program offerings and program needs. 
•Provide volunteer efforts for park staff and users.
