There are so many festivals in Chicago during the summer, not to mention a host of other activities, that it's hard to choose one thing to do.
Last night we went to the Taste of Greece 2009 festival in Greek Town. At this annual festival there was music, dancing, and vendors selling all kinds of things, from the sublime to the ridiculous, which is about par for any festival. But for us, the Taste of Greece, is like the name implies, all about the food. And as usual, this festival did not disappoint in that department. With most of the great Greek Town restaurants setting up booths and serving up some of their signature dishes, it was a gourmand's paradise.
The Saturday night crowd was thick with people of all ages enjoying the sights and sounds of this vibrant neighborhood. If you missed Saturday night's fun, you can still enjoy some Greek music, food, and drink today from noon until 11 p.m. OPA!
