The 2009 Magnificent Mile Light Festival is this Saturday, November 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Musical performers will be at the Harris Stage, Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave.
As usual, Mickey Mouse will serve as the grand marshal for the 18th annual holiday event. This year Ashley Greene of the movie Twilight will be on hand as will The Plain White T's, Banana Schpeel, and the Chicago Salsa Mambo Orchestra. For the first time this year, Michigan Ave. will be host to "a variety of heart-pumping marching bands."Be prepared for large crowds (and baby strollers galore) anywhere on or around Michigan Ave. during the festival.
