No parade on the South Side
This Sunday, there won't be any St. Patrick's Day Parade on the South Side of Chicago. A tradition that dates back to the 1970s was canceled due to over 80 arrests for disorderly conduct over the past two years.
Having gone to the South Side parade, I can attest to the fact that it does get rowdy and there is plenty of beer and alcohol flowing, but I wonder if canceling the parade was the only option. What do you think?
