It's official: Donna's Café had its grand opening today at noon. The cafe at 1255 S. State St. was packed with friends, family, and South Loop residents. Third Ward Alderman Pat Dowell, standing in for 2nd Ward Alderman, Bob Fioretti, who could not attend, was one of several local officials in attendance.
Getting Jazzy at Donna's
With cool jazz playing in the background, guests were treated to an assortment of salads, sandwiches, and desserts. After a few words from Dowell, GSLA president, Deb Soehlig, co-owners Donna Adams and Bob Oliver, and others, it was time to cut the ribbon.
