The 2012 Chicago Auto Show runs through February 19, but we got a preview before the show officially opened to the public on Friday. Thanks to an increase in sales from all the major players, there was a bit more razzle-dazzle this year. There isn’t one thing to point to that illustrates this, but we picked up a much more positive vibe compared to last year’s show.
Curves Ahead
A few things we noticed this year was an increase curves and smooth lines, in car designs, than the previous year. Not as big an emphasis on electric or hybrids, although all the major companies had models from this segment on display.
Give Us Some Flash
Let’s face it; the luxury and sports cars still dazzle us. The Cadillac concept car drew large crowds Saturday morning, the second day of general admission. And the muscle cars like the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro attracted large crowds as well.
Take a look at the slide show below for a preview.
