On October 20th, the Alliance will launch the Greener Together Contest to award $1,000 to help implement a plan that helps make the South Loop a little greener. Contenders for the prize will be project proposals that engage people in the South Loop to work together on a project that contributes to the City’s Sustainability Plan. The winning project will have a clear environmental focus, a way to actively engage community members, a budget, and a four-month implementation timeline. Anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or plays in the South Loop is eligible to apply.
More information about entering the contest can be found on the Alliance’s Web site: greenersouthloop.com. The deadline to submit contest entries is November 22, 2013.
Thanks for helping spread the word. Hopefully we'll get some great ideas.
