South Loop Landmark on TV

WTTW TV’s Chicago Tonight featured the Glessner House Museum on July 14, 2011. It’s rare to have cameras in the Glessner House; indoor photography is not allowed during tours, so this segment offers a wonderful preview of the nineteenth century time capsule.

The Glessner House is located at 1800 S. Indiana Ave. in Chicago.

In the “Cultural Connections” feature, Glessner House Museum Executive Director, Bill Tyre shares information about the house and the Glessner family.

For information on Glessner House, including tour information, please visit their Web site. You can also find the museum on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. The museum is currently celebrating the 125th anniversary of the home’s groundbreaking.

Check out the video below for a short trip back to the nineteenth century.
