Sherwood Open House January 12, 2013

Sherwood Community Music School, 1312 S. Michigan Ave. is having an open house, Saturday January 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event is suitable for the entire family.

• Participate in free sample classes for children, teens and adults throughout the day
• Free Child ID sponsored by New York Life
• Fun games and activities for children and adults 
• Face painting by Party Picassos
• Musical Instrument petting zoo by William Harris Lee and Company
• Enjoy live music performances and refreshments. 
• Learn about our programs: Early Childhood, Suzuki Instruction, private lessons, and group classes.

Registration for spring term classes starts January 2. A 25 percent new student discount will be offered on January 12 for all new Sherwood students that register and pay in full at the open house. Homemade Pizza Company wants to give Sherwood Community Music School a big check. How big is up to the South Loop Community!

For one day only—Tuesday, October 9—Sherwood will receive a donation for every purchase made at the HomeMade Pizza Company store at 1347 S Michigan Ave in Chicago.

They will donate:
$4 for every large or gluten-free pizza sold.
$2 for every salad sold
$1 for every calzone or flatbread sold
10% of every gift card sold.

Join the Columbia Community Chorus

The Sherwood Community Music School is looking for members to join the Columbia Community Chorus. The Chorus provides a fun, relaxed environment where members can experience singing with others.

Members of the chorus learn a variety of choral literature, with an emphasis on healthy tone production, blend, musicianship, and ensemble. No experience is necessary to join.

The chorus also welcomes its new director, Bart Bradfield, who teaches in Columbia’s Music Department.

The Columbia Community Chorus meets Wednesday evenings. Registration is currently open. If interested, please call 312-369-3100.
