We contacted Alderman Bob Fioretti's office when we noticed that the dog park was not on the agenda for next Wednesday's Second Ward Community Meeting. A dog park is planned for the vacant lot on the east side of Wabash Ave., just south of 16th St.
Dog Park Meeting in the Works
Alderman Fioretti e-mailed us to say that the dog park would not be on Wednesday's Community Meeting agenda, but that "We are going to have a separate meeting for the dog park to allow more time to discuss it." He went on to add that this meeting "will be happening soon." Check the South Loop Connection (SLC) or visit the Second Ward's Web site for further updates.
