Brasserie By LM Unveils Brunch Menu

Brasserie by LM, the recently opened traditional French brasserie in Chicago’s Essex Inn, 800 S. Michigan Ave., presents brunch. Led by Chef Partner Brad Phillips, Brasserie offers a modern and casual destination for brunch in the South Loop. Beginning May 5, guests can enjoy a weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM - 2 PM. In addition to the a la carte menu, a $25 mimosa and entrée special will be available.

Brasserie’s brunch menu will include traditional favorites as well as new creations with entrées, pastries and classic brunch items like French Toast ($10), LM Benedict ($10), Crepes ($10), Savory Tart ($7) Brasserie Burger ($12) and more. Guests can also enjoy Brasserie’s Croque menu which includes Croque Monsieur ($9), Croque Vegetable ($9) and Croque Salmon ($11). For an additional $2, guests can add an egg on top to any Croque to create a Croque Madame. Brasserie Bloody Marys and Mimosas will also be available for $7 each. Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Advisory Council Election March 27, 2012

Advisory Council election will be held in park fieldhouse.

Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Advisory Council (formerly Park 550 Advisory Council) will be holding their annual election Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. The election will take place at the Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Fieldhouse, 1801 S. Indiana Ave.

If you are interested in running for a director position on the Council, you may nominate yourself or have someone else nominate you on the evening of the election.

You must be a resident of Chicago to run for the Council. Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Advisory Council consists of 11directors, including four Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary). All 11 positions are up for election. After the election, Council officers will be chosen/appointed by the newly elected directors.

Discounted Shedd Acquarium Tickets For 2nd Ward Residents

Shedd Acquarium, in cooperation with Ald. Bob Fioretti, are offering residents of the 2nd Ward discounted admission tickets on Sunday, March 4.

According to Shedd Acquarium press release,

“Residents of Ald. Fioretti’s ward receive discounted admission and a 10 percent discount on food and gift store items. In order to receive the discount, residents must pick up special admission vouchers from Ald. Fioretti’s office, located at 1319 S. State St. in Chicago. Only original vouchers will be accepted. On March 4, guests with Ward Day vouchers can skip the line and redeem their vouchers at Will Call at the aquarium.”
