Halloween “Friendly Trail” This Saturday

The Chicago Park District will be sponsoring a Halloween “Friendly Trail” at Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens this Saturday, October 29, 2011, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event is geared toward children eight years of age and younger. There is a $10 per child charge for the Friendly Trail.

The Halloween Friendly Trail is loosely based on the Candy Land board game.

The Halloween Friendly Trail is a kid-friendly activity (nothing scary) loosely based on the popular children’s game Candy Land. Center Director, Lauren Polinsky and the Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens staff has been hard at work turning beach pails into gumdrops and Frisbees into pieces of wrapped hard candy. The unique pathways in the park lend themselves perfectly to a “live” board game. In addition to the Friendly Trail, there will be crafts and activities in the field house.
